Two fundamental qualities of human nature are struggling and
giving. We can give what we have with us. But we spend a significant amount of
time in our life struggling in the path of acquiring stuff: money, wealth,
relationships, pleasure, happiness and so. on. But why do we have to struggle
so much?
The answer can be found in the way nature operates. For instance,
if we look at a mango tree, we see that a seed gives birth to a small plant.
That plant over years grows and becomes a tree. The tree yields fruits and with
time, they fruits ripen.
Who eats those fruits? It is certainly not the tree. Those
living beings that come across those ripe mangoes eat them wholeheartedly. By
happily giving those fruits to those living beings, the tree takes a step
towards immortality. By spreading its seeds, the tree multiplies, grows and
reaches several parts of the world.
You may have to struggle for getting more money or increase your wealth. But true happiness lies in the joy of giving.
When you choose to give freely, an invisible hand enters the picture and enables you to gain more. And the pain or struggle that you had to go though to acquire that stuff vanishes instantaneously and transforms into pure joy – the joy of giving unconditionally.
